According to city sources, the Hawksmoor steak restaurant is in the early stages of going up for sale.
Private equity owner Graphite Capital has appointed investment bank Stephens to start the process in 2023, a source said.
Hawksmoor shelved its flotation plans last year. He was working with Berenberg Bank.

City sources questioned the timing.
The profits of many restaurant businesses are being hit by consumer spending cuts.
D&D London, owner of Quaglino, halted a sales process this year after failing to find a buyer.
Hawksmoor declined to comment.
