OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — Oklahoma City residents will soon have the chance to try a new restaurant offering Korean fried chicken.
bb.q Chicken has announced the official opening of its restaurant in Oklahoma City.
The restaurant, located at 2424 NW 150th St. in Oklahoma City, will host a grand opening celebration on September 30.
Organizers say the restaurant follows a Chicken & Beer concept, which means the restaurant offers full chicken and K-Food, as well as a bar.
“Korean culture and cuisine have rapidly gained popularity thanks to the entertainment industry. I’m excited to show Oklahoma City the amazing food Korea has to offer,” said Franchise Owner Sanghyun Yang. “Chicken bb.q is very popular with Koreans and Americans alike, and I’m sure the local community here will love our authentic Korean Fried Chicken and other delicious K-Food products.”
Customers can try different kinds of Korean fried chicken, ddeok bokki and kimchi fried rice. Organizers say bb.q Chicken’s authentic marinades come straight from South Korea.
During the Grand Opening Ceremony, guests will be able to participate in the “Free Chicken for a Year” contest.
