Massis Kabob launches the first autonomous restaurant which will open in August 2022Los Angeles, CA (Restaurant press release) Massis Kaboba family-run micro-chain known for its authentic Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cuisine, is thrilled to announce the opening of its first stand-alone restaurant in Glendale, CA, slated to open August 2022. With more 45 years of grilling perfection and six shopping malls -based in the Los Angeles area, this landmark venue will honor the realization of the late founder Hacop “Jack” Baghdassarian’s dream of building a destination for the family to settle down again further into the community and brings Armenian and Persian-influenced cuisine to the forefront of California culture.

“The community of Glendale has welcomed and supported our family for nearly five decades, so it’s only fitting that we’re launching our first standalone restaurant in the city that helped make Massis Kabob what it is today,” said Gevik Baghdassarian, who together with his brother Peter took over the business after their father passed away in 2017.

“We’ve been through some of the toughest times in the restaurant industry, and the unwavering support from our customers and the community means the world to us,” said co-owner Peter. “We want to give back with a new restaurant to enjoy the fresh and traditional cuisine of Massis Kabob.”

Massis Kabob has its roots in Glendale as the first location opened at the Glendale Galleria in 1976. The soon to open location, at the corner of Colorado Boulevard and Glendale Avenue, is over 3,500 square feet and will have 150 seating in the indoor dining area and outdoor terrace. The kitchen, the largest of any location, will include more than 20 feet of open-fire barbecue, allowing the company to feed its many in-store customers while still having enough capacity to accommodate pick-up and delivery activities in booming.

Massis Kabob’s signature menu features custom favorites like Jumbo Pita Wraps, a convenient lunch option offering a choice of falafels, gyros and juicy skewers. Jumbo Kabob plates contain a variety of high quality proteins and are served with traditional Persian basmati rice or fries, Shirazi salad and pita bread. Complement any meal with authentic Middle Eastern sides including tabbouleh, hummus and baba ghanoush. Massis Kabob’s popular family meals will also be available for take-out or delivery and will include chicken or beef kebab skewers, rice, pita bread, Shirazi salad, hummus and tabbouleh.
