Restaurants in Greater Cincinnati are hoping for an increase in business with the annual Restaurant Week. “We are looking forward to this weekend. We’ve had an amazing week so far,” said Sebastian Castillo of downtown’s Prime restaurant. Caitlyn Milner said restaurants definitely saw a difference this week. His restaurant, Moerlein Lager House, is one of dozens of locations taking part this year. It’s a great business model for these places, especially after going through the pandemic for the past two years. “Generally, for most restaurants, a lot of people have left the industry and a lot of people have had to change models,” Street City Pub manager Stephen Welch said. All restaurants have special menus and offers for the special week which are very affordable. They also want to make hospitality a priority. Staffing is always a challenge, but they seem prepared for the uptick in business during restaurant week. “We recommend bookings on busy nights like today when the Reds are playing,” Milner said.
