The Inn is located in Whitehouse and is known for its presidential decor theme and dining options. It will enter the food chain after 25 years in the business.
America’s Best Restaurants is a national media and marketing company focused on independent local restaurants. At select establishments, popular dishes will be highlighted and an interview with restaurant owner Tony Fronk will find out what makes the Whitehouse Inn special.
The hostel was originally bought by John Fronk, Tony’s father, in 1995, and he ran it with his two sons. Tony bought it back in 2007 and has since renovated it due to the restaurants popularity.
“The community support is phenomenal,” said Fronk. “A lot of people tell us it’s like ‘Cheers’. It’s a very different atmosphere than walking into a company [restaurant]. I think we do a much better job of taking care of the guests.
Fronk attributes the success of the Whitehouse Inn to his father, John, but also to the staff, especially the kitchen.
Fronk notes that the staff serves more than 800 pounds of prime rib and 120 pounds of perch each week.
“These guys I have in the kitchen now are extremely talented and they’re very dedicated to what they do,” Fronk said.
America’s Best Restaurant will be filming at the Whitehouse Inn on Friday, September 23 from 9 a.m. to noon.
