Here are the top five stories from today in Houston:

1. Houston area suburb Missouri City and Atascocita were named by personal finance website SmartAsset as one of the the most livable small towns in the United States. Positions in this year’s SmartAsset study Atascocita No. 85 and Missouri City No. 90 overall. (CultureMap Houston)

2. One the man is expected to be fine after he was shot early Sunday morning at a restaurant in North Houston, according to Harris County deputies. The shooting took placed just before 1.45 a.m. when deputies said an argument between two men broke out at the Ostioneria Michoacan from the highway north near Richey Road. (ABC 13)

3. One 5A 2-year-old man was sentenced to 22 years in prison for assaulting a 9-year-old at a local thrift store in 2016, Harris County District Attorney Kim Ogg announced on Saturday. A Harris County Jury Mario Alverto Navarro was sentenced on Wednesday for aggravated sexual assault on a child under 14. Navarro asked to be sentenced by a judgee instead of the jury. 4. Texas EquuSearch is asking for help in finding a 69-year-old man from Houston. Officials say Henry Schelsteder is a contracted driver who was on his way to make a delivery in Dallas. Schelsteder was the last heard from near Madisonville, but its location has yet to be confirmed. (KHU 11)

5. Houston-based Bosscat Kitchen will open a location on Market Street in the woods, Bosscat owner John Reed has announced.. Market Street management said the restaurant is scheduled to open in November 2022. Bosscat will be located at 9595 Six Pines Drive, The Woodlands. (Community Impact Newspaper)
